Erratic Idle
Have just bought a 93 Lude here in Western Australia.
Theres a problem with the idle in that when engine is warm, idle speed oscillates up and down betweed 100-200 rpm. Even when cold idle can be heard to be ranging up and down slightly. Any ideas on what to look for appreciated.

Check Fast Idle Valve first, then bleed coolant, adjust adle speed, check for vacuum leaks. Idle is going too high for speed, then ECU cuts injectors, thats why it seems to "oscillate". The idle goes up until it reaches the cut off point, then it goes down when the injectors cut out. Look for anything that might cause the idle to rise - increased air going through the throttle body is the prime culprit.
I'll give all those a try.
Regarding the bleed coolant that you wrote, someone also mentioned to me about the TB coolant bypass trick. I'm not sure what either of these is, so if someone can enlighten me I'll give that a try as well. When I first got the car it had a coolant leak that required replacing one of the hoses to the coolant inlet.
