Default Intake Manifold Question

I have heard that taking out the butterflys in the runners of the H and F series motors gives it more power under 4800 RPM? is this true and worth it???

it Does the opposite. Taking out the butterflys hurts your low end performance.

If you're stock, leave the butterflies the way they are. Honda did a pretty good job from the factory.

From what I've read, it doesn't make a significant gain.

IMO, it's not worth the effort.

It's not going to do anything except lose low-end power.

save yourself the time and effort and just forget about it haha, much easier things to do that would make more of an impact

Its a pain, I took one apart cause I had an extra one, and its a lot of bolts/screws and relocation involved in order to take them out and have it look and fit normal....and it doesnt do anything beneficial, so why do it unless your current modifications require them to be removed....

Do I just plug the diaphram line into the manifold???? or where does the vacum line go??????

as said multiple times...takign the butterflies out hurts performance.

an engine with a few bolt ons is not a built engine, a built engine means making a significant change to the pieces of the engine.

you can do it just by plugging the vaccum line that goes to the valve that opens and closes them. theres a dyno on here somewhere where a guy did it and picked up some mid range and top end, but like everyone said, if you are stock its not gonna do much at all. maybe if you could do some tuning that would help it out, but its just one of those things you need to do in order to find out..
