Default Ecu Yes or No

I have a 90 ls integra. I want to put a 99 GSR head onto it but I was wondering if a p72 ECU would work for the setup. And what kind of wiring harnesses would it require?

yeah that'll work.
i would suggest going the extra step and getting a chipped obd1 ecu.
or if u have the p72 already get it chipped.

You'll need a P72 ECU or an external RPM switch to run the IAB butterflies on the stock GSR intake manifold.

I have the ECU already, so do I need anything else or will it wire up to my existing harness or can I get an adapter or do I need a new harness. I want to eventually run the Hondata s300 setup. What does IAB stand for?

IAB is intake air bypass. They are a set of butterflies that open at higher RPM in the GSR intake manifold. I can't help you with the cab wiring. The GSR engine harness would be most helpful. I don't know what you are planning to use. You may also need to install a knock sensor or a simulator (I'm not familiar) for the P72 to function properly. From what year is the P72 ECU?

That is an OBDII ECU. (I think the part number is 37820-P72-A03.) You cannot use Hondata with that. It is also extremely difficult to chip. (I have a chipped OBDII ECU.) If you want to use that ECU you, will also need to wire a simulator for the secondary O2 sensor or the check engine light will stay illuminated.

Look for an OBDI P28 ECU that can run your VTEC and can handle Hondata. You can look on Summit's site for a cheap, RPM switch to run the IAB system.

You guys are also overlooking the fact that he has a 90, so his car is obd0 and he'll need a conversion harness if he wants to run obd1

Good point. If I recall correctly, he'll need an OBDI distributor and saturated injectors.
