my DA has been making a clicking and squeaking sound for the past couple weeks now. i recently lifted it up on a jack and discovered the culprit--a worn out intermediate shaft. i just want to know if it's safe to drive w/ a worn out half shaft or maybe even CV joint...suggestions???

 

The wheel probably won't fly off or anything but if the CV joint breaks your car won't go anywhere at all. Just don't accelerate hard while turning and it should last a while. Replace it soon though.

 

thanks. i was jus wonderin. i'm gettin it changed this week...freakin acura dealerships charges up the *** for that part, oh well

 

u dont nessacerly need to go to acura, your local part stores carry them to. its not that hard of a job to do. if u need me to walk you through it let me know.

 

well i already called and checked up parks, advanced, and autozone...none of them have it. im lookin through ebay and i see one for 130 but im not sure if it'll fit the DA. it says its for a b-series, the b18a1 wasnt listed though. so im thinkin it's for the DC models. and i dont wanna buy the USED ones...so its either acura or gator for me...
