Rear lower control arms. Never seen these before, need info
Can anyone ID these rear LCAs? This is supposed to be a rear disc setup from a 97 jdm 4dr integra (DB8?). I have installed rear shocks on a few 4 door integras and never seen LCAs like this. It appears that it would use a shock with a bushing on the end (like truvks have) rather than the fork like other hondas.
My main question is wether or not regular integra/civic style LCAs will work.

Those look like ITR LCA's, box-style rather than fork-style. Its possible the previous owner did a swap and neglected to mention them (a swap of the arms).
btw 4dr GSR = db8
4dr LS= db7.
The LCA's off the same gen Civic/Integra will work fine. If you want to run a swaybar, make sure the ones you decide to swap in have swaybar mounting holes.

nice, thanks for the info and good news for me
I was going to use some Omni LCAs with them providing they would bolt in. I dont run swaybars now but I do plan on putting a rear one on at some point.
I just got them from an importer in GA so they might not even know what they are really from. they said DB8 but maybe it was a type R. Are there any differences between the two besides the control arm?

yeah, look like type r. hollow lca's were also equipped on 88 crx's, btu were nixed in 89 due to complaints that the cars were "twitchy". no, that's not twitch, that's passive rear steering......
An extra lug on each side would be a good indication of R-ness. However the JDM ITR's were equipped with 4-lugs in 96, with a 4x114 bolt pattern iirc. A 4x100 bolt pattern would indicate a non-R integra assembly.

all of them?
all of them?
all jdm civics and integras came with "itr" style rear lca. that type of shock and control arm is not exclusive to just the ITR in asia, only in america and europe i think. and yes, the 88 civic/crx had them too. no one knows why america changed to cast arms.
ok, I hope you two are right. I know its 4 lug but i forgot to check if it was 4x100. Pretty sure its from a 4 dr GSR if those did come with the box style lcas.
I noticed in Taiwan that some Civics had the fork-style rear LCA's as well. I think some were imported new from the US actually. So in Taiwan there's definitely a mix of them.
that seems like such a weird part to change for different markets. Lighter maybe? or doesnt pass US crash tests?
I got them today...4x100 and in really amazing shape. Looks like about 30k of use and both soft lines and e-brake cables are in fantastic condition, all for $130. Sometimes I just love ebay
