Hey guys i just got back from the dealership and told me i didnt need new brakes yet, but they are sqeeking pretty loud. If i dont need them why are they sqeeking?

Some pads have different friction material, i bought some semi-mettalic pads from a local auto parts store and they were loud as ****, plus every brake system is going to squeak. Does is only squeak when your off the brake pedal? Or do they squeak when braking? I am using the EBC greenstuff brake pads now and they a really quite.
Ask the service manager next time and he will go get a tech for you

 

Yeah he's right. Its hard as hell to prevent a disc brake from squeaking. I guess you can go with a drum brake good luck on braking on time.

 

a lot of it depends on the brake pad material, as said before. my girlfriend bought her lude and the brakes were loud as heck, even though the previous owner had just replaced them. i went and bought some new ones and they have been quiet ever since. i can't remember which i bought, ceramic or semi-metallic. well, one of those materials is cheap and noisy and the other is quiet and costs a few $ extra.
