ef9 need help with wiring
i have an ef9 with a y8 and an obd1 p28 ecu. i can't find a chat to know where to wire my knock senor. need help please.
sorry if i said it wrong i have a 90 dx with a d16y8 and custome the ecu harness to an obd1. my knock sensor isn't connected and my check engine light is on. and i don't what can i do to find out what's causeing my check engine light to come on. before i was running on a chipped p28 and the check engine light was never on now i'm runniong on a stock p28 and then the check engine light came on. i was wondering what i can do to get it off i checked the wires on my motor to see what hasn't been connected and i found that my knock sensor wasn't connected.

umm. I'm not sure about the y8 but I think if its like the other single cam vtecs it doesn't have a knock sensor. I know that my d15 or d16 didn't have one.
ef9 with a y8?? ehh where did the b16 go?
you shouldnt need to wire a knock sensor. afaik, most obd1 honda engines dont have them. i dont believe the p28 will be looking for a knock sensor.

You have an ef9 (RHD Civic SiR) from Japan? if so, why the hell would you have put a D16Y8 motor in it since it originally had a B16A?
Lastly, if you are running a P28 ECU then you don't need to worry about a knock sensor since the P28 doesn't look for one.
I swear, the majority of EF owners nowadays are completely ignorant, or super ghetto, or teenagers.
