i am trying to find all the info on a swap from a d16y8 to a b16a, i want to do it myself but i dont have the welding tools, and such so i want to see if its even do-able

I just swapped my d16y7 for a b16a, It was pretty much bolt in, I decided to do my own wire harness, that was a bit of a chore. All the parts pretty much bolt in though...Oh if you are keeping your ac you may need to get some lines crimped. I choose to have new fuel lines and slave cylinder lines crimped as well. I ended up having my ECU chipped because they gave me an automatic ecu for a manual swap (don't quite know how that happened ) but the chipping was only $100 and it came with the added bonus of no speed govenor, rev limiter, etc...As far as tools you really won't need much more than a good metric socket set, deep set socket set, screwdrivers, solder gun (elec tape, solder, flux etc..). The specialty tools I used were a ball joint seperator ($10 at a auto parts store) and a really big socket i borrowed from a friend to take the nut off the axle. send me a pm if you have any problems
