5G Preludes with CF Hoods and no hood pins..... Question
I have a carbon fiber hood and at about 80mph it feels like its gonna come off but i dont want hood pins. How can i make it stop flapping around without hood pins and drive at those speeds safely? Any suggestions would help greatly. Thanks

Even that notion is inherently impossible. If he did, how would he lock the latch so it says shut after he's closed the hood? After you solved that problem how is he going to unlatch the hood from the inside when it's closed?....

I had to do it on a car once. It involves cutting & welding an additional latch to the front subframe next to the existing one. Then you have to put another hook on the hood. Then you have to install a secondary hood release--in my case, I put it under the front bumper. To open the hood, I had to pull the secondary release cable while somebody else pulled the primary one from the inside.
It's a pain in the ******* ***, but it kept my hood down...

Ya well that's what i meant. I would require a decent amount of work and fab, and installation of a second switch etc. Then getting it to line up yadda yadda yadda. What I meant is there is no conventional way to add another latch.
Just use pins and get over it. If pins mean that I won't have my hood fly up at 70 then so be it I'm using them.

Ya I dont' know why everyone hates on hoodpins so much damn. If you want there are also carbon fiber hood keylock thing floating around online so you won't see it as much.

I'm running the Forbidden Motorsports Radiator Shroud on my 4th gen, but my ViS Invader CF Hood is coming in next week and I'm using pins. I don't give a expletive...I don't want my hood flying open at 70.
