i have a b16a with b16 tranny in a 92 integra....i pulled out in traffic today and my car just stopped going....it was as if it popped out of gear or something....so i pulled over and tried putting it in gear again....it went tino gear fine but it was as if the clutch was not engaging....teh clutch cable and everything are fine....but one thing i noticed is that the speedometer is working....so i know the clutch and everything are fine.....i have had some vibration in the past, when accelerating, i was thinking perhaps the axle popped out or something? has this ever happened to anyone before? i haven't got a chance to look at it yet but i was wanting to know if this problem is common....any ideas hit me!!

Sounds like you broke your axle to me, once they start making noise or clicking, their days are limited.

 

k well i fixed the axle...evidently, it popped out while i was driving...when i did the swap i guess i didn't put it in good enough....whatever..**** happens......

 

replace the mounts.

 

yeah it happeed to me once too...u have to take a short 2x4 an hammer that sucker in.

 

that's what i did....cept in the cold on the side of a busy highway......suck
