Default I need some good suggestions on some cheap LSDs

Yo I know some of ya'll know some cheap LSDs out there I couls get for my B16 tranny. I was thinking Phantom grip, or type R, but I heard type R won't bolt into a B16 S4C tranny. I heard only the GSR is compatible with the type R tranny when it comes to switching diffs. Ya'll give me some suggestions and give me details on the different diff. My budget for a diff isabout 400 so **** like Quaife is automatically eliminated. Also it must be a diff that can handle alot of everyday driving meaning a whole lota U turns and ****. Let me know ya'll.

Word to the Wise: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

With that said a $400 LSD is probably not gooding to perform that well or be very reliable (unless it is OEM). I have read bad thinks about Phantom LSD on this board. I think in Japan, they made B16 trannies with LSD. I would look for the OEM B16 LSD or save another $450 and get a Quaife.

Sorry I don't know much about low priced LSDs, just be careful and make sure it is a quality reliable part or you will be replacing it very soon.

SEARCH.

that said, I shall zip up my flame suit and say check out the OBX lsd's. I have heard of people getting axles stuck if the internal gears aren't beveled, but I haven't heard of anyone breaking one yet

i would say just get the b16lsd tranny, the whole thing, and then sell your tranny. 400 for an lsd is not that much if you are going to be abusing it everyday. obx are actually pretty decent, and some units are now coming beveled already.

cheap can only get you so far before repairs and downtime ends up costing more than the better option you had from the start.

I know but I ain't got no no gwap for quaifes or anything like that, and B16 LSD trannies are hard to come by. The only people that have em are JDM dealers and they always want to much for them, like $850 $900. Most of the time they don't separate te=hem from the SIR-2 swap.

Heard of people running tons of HP on the OBX and not having a problem with them. Let me help you out, if you want info on the OBX LSD go to their site, or just search on google/yahoo, honda-tech is an information board, not do your searching for you board. No offense, but it's your car, don't be lazy on the research.

I have done research on this site and still have yet to get a solid answer. I'm just getting "I think OBX fixed the problem"
Also when I searched for OBX LSDs on google/yahoo it kept sending me bullshit like ebay sites and what not.
