Default Non Honda- Toyota Celica hybrid help please

A friend has a 91 celica with the 1.6. He threw a rod bearing and instead of rebuilding he went to a junkyard and bought a '91 2.2 GT motor. Will this motor bolt right in? The mounts, shift linkage, and axles all look the same but I'm concerned with the wiring. The ECU plugs are different so I'm wondering if I can just use the engine harness from his 1.6 on the 2.2 and have the 1.6 ECU reprogrammed to run the new engine? Anybody done this swap or know of any websites where I might could find some info on doing it? Thanks
