oil question

will having too little oil or old oil cause valve to click? ive been doing and redoin my valve lash...and they still click...b20b....004 on itake .007 exhaust...i put the next size feeler in and it didnt fit..so im assuming i did it right....i HAVENT changed my oil in a while...think this could be the culprit? ill find out today...just askin for opinions ahead of time
Like I said before, It may not be your valves. My friends car was clicking at idle. My uncle is a mechanic so we had him take a look at it. It was carbon build up on the pistons. So the cure for it is running some water through it. Take of your brake booster vaccum line and run some distilled water through it. A while back, a guy posted something like this, he used some sea foam or something like that. If you want to try running water through it let me know and I can give you more details on how to do it.
