Default Automatically locking doors?

I have an EM1 and was wondering if there was a way to program the doors so that they automatically lock once the car is moving? I know you can do it on some cars with the key in the ignition and a series of steps, I'm not sure if its possible for this car without help from the stealership.

Thanks.

Not really. I was thinking you could have a switched voltage hooked up to the lock circuit, but the locks are a momentary switch, not a constant. Maybe the starter wire; but may be problematic if the car cranks for a bit. It's really not feasable.

On my car (99 si) After i start the car the doors will lock after like 2 seconds and as soon as i shut the car both doors unlock. I dont have a stock alarm but its a great feature.

I have an aftermarket DEI alarm that does that. Just make sure the armed while driving feature is on, and it'll lock and unlock the doors with the ignition.

My Viper 500esp has this option as well. When the lock controls for the inside of the car broke I had to turn it off so I could get out without turning the car off.

You can download the manuals there, but I'm not sure how helpful it is if you don't know the model. Do you know where the brain box is in your car? that will have the model # on it.

I had some aftermarket door locks installed with my viper DEI alarm. Automatically locks the door as soon as I start the car and unlocks when I turn it off

passive mode will arm the car after a certain amount of time if you forget to lock it. I know compustar does have the armed while driving feature though.
