when i bought my 97 civic ex coupe, i looked inside the door panel of the passenger side and found out that this red and blue wires were cut...anyone know what these were used for or went into??

 

If everything is working fine then it might be for your speakers. The speakers on civics have plastic connectors, not unlike what you might see in your engine bay ( engine harness stuff to the left, and in front of your battery )

 

where inside the door? the could also be to the factory tweeters..

looks like your tweeter wire...do you have factory tweeters? you should if you have those wires.

pull off the driver door and look at that harness.. but my money is on tweeter wires..

oh yeaa, i didnt think bout the tweeters...i forgot i got a ex model now... ...another thing...is this how everyones triangle thing looks like where the tweeters are supposed ta be?? cause my triangle thing has a whole but doesnt look like a tweeter could fit in there cause its soo small and nothing can go inside cause the power mirror harness is closing in the circle...and my triangle thing that was on my 4dr civic before was almost twice as bigger...

i FRIGGIN KNEW IT...thas the thing with buying modified cars...it juss adds up to my "TO DO/GET" list to the way i want my car...can you mount 1" aftermarket tweeters on the real ex triangle thingys?? cause i got some infinity kappa tweeters that i would like to put on those if they do fit...so if they do i could try and find the right ex triangle thingy

 

i know what you mean...i don't know if it will fit but you can retrofit it tho. i was thinking on doing the same thing on my 95 civic cuz i have the factory tweeters but no tweeters in them and i'm thinking bout puttin my aftermarket fultron tweeters in them. well, the picture above is from a ebay auction right now. so if your looking for a set......

ALSO, what are these things (in the red square in picture) cause one of my tweeteres arent working and was wondering if its because one of these on one of the sides are missing it...is this the crossover or what?? thanks

 

Yes, i believe that is where it hooks to your speaker in your door panel....Should be a 6 1/2"....The tweeters run right off your speaker.....Good luck
