I've had GR-2s in the past if you're at stock ride height they're great but if you're lowering I'd recommend a good set of adjustable struts.

my 91 hatch is sitting on kyb gr2's as well, with some off brand adjustable lowering springs off of ebay for like $30. anytime you lower a car, the ride comfort will never be the same as what it was before you lowered it, you feel every little vibration and bump on the road. if you are currently sitting on koni's, i would think you would be downgrading on shocks, cuz i always thought koni were better then kyb. but eh, if you lower your car, dont expect the ride comfort to be good, its the handling and steering that improves. and also, if you like your shocks on a lowered vehicle, you cannot take speed bumps fast at all. i will not take my hatch faster than 15 on any speed bump or speed humps. then you get people behind ya that wanna go 30+ on them and ride your *** cuz ur going like 10. just another thing to consider.

but ya, overall, i like my kyb's, its the only shock brand ive had lol so i cant really compare it with anything else except my stock shocks.

GR-2s w/ Tein S-Techs here. Happy compromise between ride quality and handling. It's not a punishing ride, but it is definitely improved handling over stock. GR-2s are basically stock shock replacements. Can't beat them for the price. I paid 175$ shipped for all four corners last week.

I had GR2s on my 00'coupe (GR2s, drop forks, pro arms, and coilovers) rode great, also had them on my 96 coupe (w/H&Rs) rode great again. I will either be putting GR2s or AGXs on the CRX

get tokico illuminas.

you might want to get some more shock travel with those springs tho. at least you can in the front by dropping the fork down lower by removing the brake bracket.
