I picked this up for 65 bucks on ebay, plus 50 to paint it. It was brand new, just in the wrong color. They are originally 300 dollars. The paint is a little off but its fine for right now.

 

Clean and simple.

 

Does it just re-use the stock tail light? Good buy for only $65

 

sounds like a hell of a deal to me. and i wouldnt worry about the paint too much. most parts i have seen usually dont match perfectly when the parts are painted seperately. look at cars. the bumpers rarely ever match the fenders perfect. toyotas are the worst.

 

Thanks ya, it reuses the stock taillight. Its one of the few that do. The kit is kinda hard to install. The provided brackets; no matter what i do, they just dont work. So right now im in the process of making custom ones for the taillight to fit right.

For now i know the paint isnt a big deal, but im kinda picky. I know i can get it closer if i get the actual paint. We just matched it by the closest color in the book. Since its only like 50 bucks for paint im gonna probably do it.

 

kinda OT but who is sleeping in your garage. you must have half a mattress store in there.

 

haha, I thought someone would mention that... That isnt my garage, We rent a house while im at school, and that garage came with it. I think those matresses are leftover from previous renters. They were scattered all over the garage until i stacked them like that.

Probably mounted at the very back of the undertail, like where everyone else puts it.

actually there is a light for the liscense plate. Its up front, i just havent gotten to it yet. Im still fabricating brackets for the light.
