Default reliability of b16 turbo

Just kinda curious on how reliable a b16a turbo crx would be. what kind of life expectancy could the motor withstand if it had low compr. pistons. And all motor how much more reliable is it. thanx.

Stock block? Built Block? What turbo? How much horsepower? What tunning program you going to use? How will your a/f look like? Conservative Timing? Cams? Transmission? Tires? LSD?

But hey, thanks for all the details your provided in your post.

Tuning is what matters most. Take it from expierence. I own a Boosted B16 and with the right tunning it will run forever.

People say tuning is key, but the bottom line is that there are simply more things that can go wrong.

no there isnt, if your car is properly tuned it will opperate fine, If your motor is hurt, turbo no turbo its going to die eventually. A properly tuned health turbo b16a can last a very long time. The turbo doenst kill your car, no offence but how do u know? You have an intake a not turbo b16a?

did everyone forget that his driving habits are also i huge factor? if you have a heavy foot it will kill the life of the car... but driving like a human being and not speedracer the car should last a while as long as the motor has been taken care of in the past and is VERY well maintained in the future... a good tune, as mentioned above, is also crutial... basically youre going to have a car that needs a little bit of maintenance every week but itll be one hell of a car ... good luck
