I DONT want a 04 - 05 unless an amazing deal comes up. I would just like to know if there is anything better about an 00 - 03 rather than a 04 or 05 besides the price difference. And the 00 -03 revs higher correct but is less powerful.

From what ive heard the 00-03 are faster. The 04+ have more torque, but less power, and they rev to 8000 rather then 9000. I have an 02, and love it. I would recommend getting a 02-03.

 

Favorite year: 05 AP2. Hands down. Heads down.

You are wrong...the AP2 actually has shown to be more consistantly in the high 13's run through a 1/4 pass...but both cars are capable of about the same times acceleration wise. Both cars are capable of the same lateral G and skidpad results...both cars are pretty much EXACTLY the same when it comes to performance. Theres not a "faster" one...theres just a preference of having the higher rpm redline, or having a better powerband for daily driving. The cars are nearly identical in all things...

There is not a better S2000...as ive said a hundred times...its like choosing between $1,000,000 in one thousand dollar bills or $1,000,000 in one hundred dollar bills. You still get $1,000,000, its just a preference on how you get there.

 

their technically all the same because each year is fun to drive...

ive owned an 02, and now i own an 05...i like the 05 better

00-01 had plastic rear window and the awesome red/black interior
00-03 had the 2.0 motor, which revs to 9k but has slightly less torque.
02+ has tweeters in the doors, and a glass rear window which is about half the size of the plastic one, but also has a defroster. personally, i prefer a mint plastic window to the glass one.
04+ has a slightly different body and the 2.2 motor, which is no faster than the 2.0

at one point, honda also put a clock in the dash, but i don't remember the exact year. i know my 01 doesn't have it.

 

Get a 2004 or 2002 depending on preference.

you really have to drive an ap1 and ap2 to decide what is better for you...

 

ap2's look better

 

ap1 with red interior is my personal choice. I like red carpet all over the place.
