bad estimate/true information
i went to a local shop and they said that i can make a lsvtech with my stock block with a vtech head fuel pump timing belt and a couple of other things. is this true? and he said that is going to be just under 900 if i get my own ecu and b16 head.
does this sound right? i dont want to do this to the motor is it is going to be unreliable. i know that lsvtech can brake and what not just want to know if he does this will it be more likly to brake this way

i think you mean oil pump, not fuel pump.
but yeah, basically. get vtec oil and water pumps, as well as timing belt, ARP rod bolts (at minimum, if not forged/higher compression pistons and forged rods), oem or arp head studs, a golden eagle vtec kit to make things a little easier.
those are the basics. make sure they are REPUTABLE and that they KNOW what they are doing, and you should have a nice, reliable setup as long as you maintain it well.
please, please search as this topic is covered daily and there are literally dozens and dozens of threads about this.

but anyway, make sure you use a reputable shop that guarentees their work. also do your homework on ls/vtec motors before you shell out the money to have someone build it for you. Check on here and team-integra.net for information. good luck!!
