i have a '00 itr trans in my integra, im having a problem down shifting from 5th to 4th. it doesnt grind or go in at all untill lower speeds, below 40mph. shifting from a dead stop up through the gears is normal through the gears. any other down shift is normal. has anyone had or heard of this problem before.

Have you tried double clutching? It definitly helps on downshifts.

 

yeah, its like its locked out and it will grind if you try to put it in reverse. it should be the other way around (locked out in reverse and go into 4th)

 

check tranny fluid level.
