Default Tranny/Clutch Issue??

When i let out the clutch in first gear, i hear a rubbing noise, it only happens in first gear when i'm taking off from a dead stop. It's not affecting the clutch feel or anything, it's just a faint rubbing noise, coming from what sounds like the clutch or tranny. Anyone have any ideas on what it might be?

thats not really enough information for any of us to try and diagnose it in our heads...just keep running it and see if it gets any worse. if anything its probably the clutch.

A few things to try....First pull the e-brake(make sure the e-brake is set right because if the back tires roll the test will be incorrect)and put the car in 5th gear. Let out on the clutch and if the motor stalls you clutch is good. But if it runes then you know its time for a new clutch. Also there is a inspection plug between the bell-housing and block(close to headers too). Remove that plug it may help you hear any noises when pushing in and out on the clutch.
