Coolant level gets low in overflow conatiner
I have a 93 Civic LX. 175k miles
Lately I am seeing the level in the coolant overflow tank drop down to the Low mark and I have to top it to the high mark about every 500 miles.
I dont see any coolant leak on the floor. I also do not see any white or any other colored smoke from the exhaust.
The Radiator, cap and hoses were replaced at 128k. Coolant was changed at 150k.
Any suggestions.
Thanks

The Car is not overheating. I am wondering if there is a minor leak near some connections or hose where it is slowly evaporating or driping when driving.
I willl check the leak with the engine running in the garage.

I just posted about this as well...check to see if you have the same problem as i do...above your overflow tank..is there condensation? like moisture?
i just changed my water pump, and noticed my reservoir kept getting low everyday, it turned out I didn't bleed the system right, I borrowed this spill free funnel from a friend, then with heater on high you run the engine hard and watch the air pockets come out the funnel . but you could have a leak somewhere
small leaks coming from the Throttle Body, where it has a coolant line to warm it up or ur heater core. Small enough leaks wont make a puddle in ur car. Thermo housing and hoses too. Radiator could have a crack.

Eastbay, Can you explain some more about the spill free funnel and where it fits.
Thanks
