Default Rain broke me!

So ive been driving around in my si crx that i swapped for about 2 weeks no problems no rain. Yesterday it was pooring rain and i got a check engine light and a code 9 and now my car runs like complete *** It bogs and jerks from 2000-3000 rpms and its running rich. Why would it all of sudden throw a No1 cyl code? isnt that timing?

the problem is more than likely water in your distributor, take the cap off to see if there is any water in there, clean it real good and then pull your ecu fuse. wait about 15 seconds and put the fuse back in and try again

In addition to that, blow-dry the whole thing. sounds stupid, but trust me...

pull the plug wire off and check the plug. sometimes a little water gets in there and screws up everything. I detailed my engine and a little water got in there and I had the same problems you did. Im not a good mechanic though, so I could be totally wrong

water on the intake? prrobably real bad filter by now. Any holes in your hood, probably where the windshield cleaner comes from
