I have a gsr in my lsvtec right now, and wanted to get shorter gears.
Will the b16a2 tranny hold power for the lsvtec?
I heard it will wear down and gear eventually expletive up on the long run?
Need advice thanks.

I have an Si tranny in my GSR, and i don't know about future problems but its still running fine.
Im assuming that it there should be no horsepower related issues considering the Si stats say 160 hp, and the GSR at 170 (im assuming LSVTEC would be the same)

I have a YS1 GSR trans on lsv....there will be no problems with whatever trans you choose. At least that I've ever heard of.

its up to you I have a si tranny in my I use to have a ls tranny..the si tranny is alot better for me and I notice the difference but between si and gsr i don't think it would be that much of a difference
i had an ls/vtec with a gsr tranny i blew it up and got me a b16 tranny i loved the gsr tranny a good mix beetween racing and casual driving.

bottom line is this...
if you track your car only, then get the shortest geared trans you can find...which I think is a ITR trans or a YS1 GSR cable trans
otherwise, go with a Si trans for the short gearing and a longer 5th gear for cruising...5k@ 80mph is a pain in the ***...keeps me from speeding too much though. Honestly, I'd kill for a LS 5th gear lol...
