TORN CONVERTABLE TOP
so i put my top up yesterday after i detailed the inside of my car and there is an L shaped tear right where the rear of the passenger side clamp rest to clamp it to the windshield.
has anyone heard of this problem before is it common?
anyone know o fwhat i should patch it with

if you don't lock the latch back up after undo'ing it, it will do this exact tear when put down. I had a broken plastic piece in mine that caused it not to hold back up in place and when the top went down.... riiiiiiiiiip
I know of a person who shall remain nameless... that claimed a branch fell in a storm causing the tear and paid an insurance deductable to repair the top which normally is a couple grand.
*disclaimer* this user in no way encourages insurance fraud, just stating a story from someone who knows someone who babysat for some baby's daddy that did this...
