Default Greddy RS Blow off valve question

Okay so i got my car running and i am at 8psi tops but the blow off valve is pretty quiet. Now can i make it louder or do i have to have higher boost psi? it says harder and softer on the top, what does that do?

what setting is yourr bov at right now? to get mine to go off i had to open it up and take out one of the springs, and then i had to adjust it till i barely felt air coming out at idel and now it is loud at only 7psi

you can take out a spring on the greddy rs, so which spring did you remove? my flutters somtime at 7 psi and its all the loose i might try that to see if it helps

i took out the big spring and then tightened the screw down until just a little air came out at idle.

what does tightening and loosening of the screw do. Adjust psi or loudness?

well if you take it apart there is something on the other side of the screw that gets pushed down when you tighten the screw thus putting more pressure on the spring. when you loosen it, it uncompresses the spring alittle. so pretty much when you harden the screw it takes more pressure to open the bov. and when you loosen it it takes less pressure to open it.

when mine was making my car compressor surge i couldnt fix it by just loosining the screw. i had to take one of the springs out and then adjust the screw accordanly.

would more or less pressure be needed to make it louder?

You need to loosen the screw in order to make the spring less compressed... which would allow it to blow-off easier, not causing compressor surge, and probably making it Louder.

Try that... post back how it does. Good luck.
