lightweight flywheel

Default lightweight flywheel

alright guys..i was going to buy a lightweight flywheel off some guy today for 80 bucks....when i went to go and check it out it was actually the stock flywheel shaved down to 10lbs..what i want to know is if its safe to run that flywheel or is it better to go with the stock one..

Ten pounds sounds very light for a stock flywheel, and I would be concerned that too much material was removed. My personal suggestion would be to purchase a new after-market piece, such as Fidanza of Clutch Masters.
