Default URGENT! Friend stranded! CEL's

My friend is stuck in Louisville, KY and is in "limp mode." Started missing while cruising in 5th gear around 2500rpm's, every 20-30 seconds it would miss... then missed a lot, and died, threw codes. Took 2-3 tries to start it back up. Now it wont rev pass 3k. Now engine runs but wont rev past 3k. all point to a bad dizzy, but what else could be bad?

CEL codes
15 Ignition Output Signal
missing or defective ignition output signal

4 CKP Sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

9 CYP Sensor (Cylinder)

I could really use anyone's help. This sucks. What all could possibly be the problem, and could this have caused any damage to the motor?

All three of those codes point to the distributor, do the "wire wiggle" test with the connectors at the distributor, the passenger side shock tower and at the ECU. If that doesn't work, try searching on google for the flow charts that apply to the codes that you have.

I got the flow charts to check the distributor in the morning. Is there anything else that I need to check on? What would cause this?!

any of those codes will cause normal limp home mode, the 3k revlimiter is caused by missing more than one critical sensor like you mentioned.

unplug/plug connectors a few times - make sure wires are connecting via ohm meter - replace distributor. in that order.
