Default high oil pressure..?

just put a oil pressure gauge in.. i put a T fitting at the oil sensor by the oil filter on back of the block.. connected everything correctly.. ( checked many times)

well at idle its reading 75 psi.... but my idle is really high.. alsmost 2k needle is just under 2k is that the reason its so high?

the high idle is prolly whats making it do that. my car when warmed up and idling is less than 20lbs but then i rev it up and it will hit 70-80lbs depending on rpm, vtec ect......

ok well i drove around for a bit and when its completley warm its at 60psi..

then i put it in 5th gear and slowed down w/ the clutch out to let the RPM drop really low.. so i got it just under 1k and it was about 30 psi so i figure the 60psi at almost 2k idle is normal.. it hits about 95psi at WOT

Why is your car idleing at 2K when warm. When its cold thats fine, but once your car is warmed up you should be around 750 RPM's. If your car never idles down to normal, then yes, your psi will always be up there. I would concern myself with getting your car to idle at a proper RPM first, then take a look at your oil pressure at the correct warm idle.

More oil = higher oil pressure.
