Default dirty exhaust

50 miles after i wash my lude I've got black carbon all over my bumper..How normal is this..I've heard its because I'm not tuned with bolt ons and it's running to rich or maybe my rings.. My car runs nice with only a puff of smoke at wot..Whats do you guys think

same thing happend to mine. only for me i wasnt runnin rich, i was spittin oil like mad. check out them piston rings, thats what got me...........*cough*blew my motor*cough*

I know for a fact that my car runs rich. I have a test pipe on it, so I don't expect the exhaust to be that clean anyway. It's not so rich, though, that it gets the rear facia dirty.

Try reading your plugs. Have you pulled them and read them yet? Do a quick full-throttle pull somewhere, pull over, and pull the plugs.

that stuff is normal. you can try to reduce it by cleaning your feul system, changing your o2 sensor, upgrading your ignition system, or getting the car dyno tuned to lean out the a/f ratio.

thanks for the re..workin on getting it tuned.. Just sucks having to all purpose the rear bumper and strip all the wax off and then rewax

the exact same thing happens to mine. pisses me off. my luck it has to burn oil.
