Removing gas from a DA
I have a wrecked 91 LS that I am about to get rid of but I would like to get the gas out of the tank first (probably 7-8 gallons). I have stuck a tube down the filler neck and used an electric pump to get it started...but no luck. When I pull the tube out, it is wet, so I am pretty confident I am getting it in the gas. When I blow on the tube though, I don't hear it bubbling or anything. It has been suggested to hook the battery back up and pump it out that way, but before I do that I was going to see if anyone else has any bright ideas. (Also, anyone know why going down the filler neck isn't working for me?)
disconnect the fuel line in the engine bay, put a hose on it, put your key in the ignition and let the fuel pump-pump it out for you. Might take a while though. Better than dropping the tank.

The car was only wrecked a few months ago...have you seen gas prices? Yeah, it is only $20-30, but why not? Also, alot of places that pick the car up for scrap (for free!!!) won't take it with gas in it.

I guess that is what I am going to do. I figured that might take some time though, I was just wondering if anyone had a quicker solution.
