replacing Heater Core
Ok, this is a quick veiw.
Start by draining your coolant.
You should disconnect the couplings at the firewall inside the engine bay, you will see the two lines that feed the coolant into the heater core. The fuel filter can be moved without disconnecting it for more room. The bracket that holds it will lift up and off from the firewall.
Remove the heater valve cable, you will see it there at the hose connections. I think it just lifts off.
Also in the engine bay is one of your heater mounting bolts, you will see it to the right and down just a tad from the heater hoses, looks like a stud with a nut on it.
Inside the car you need to remove the glove box, lower cover and knee bolster. Then disconnect the A/C strap, you will see it between the two halves.
Remove the connectors to the fan resistor and blower, and then the 3 mounting bolts that hold the whole blower unit in place. You will then be able to remove the whole unit. From there you should be able to figure things out. Manual says to remove dash, but I don't think that would be necessary, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for the reply.... I'm actually buying the car from my sister and she said the Heat doesnt work on it... I'm just covering my but so if it is the problem I know how to fix it...
Any other suggestion of what it could be?
Also this isnt my first Teg I had a 95 4dr Ls with a GSR motor and a auto to manual swap that I did myself and also had a B20/Vtec in my 96 honda civic

my friend's heater used to work real well, then started shatting out and his heater core went out.. then he replaced it and his thermostat.. and now his heater works for nothin.
Could simply be the heater valve stuck open not allowing the hot coolant to enter the core. Could also be an open thermostat not allowing the coolant to reach operating (hot) temp, which in turn wouldn't allow the heater core to warm up.
I'm not a certified mechanic...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn...

I found out last night that it blows nothing but cold Air on all settings... So what might the problem be???

maybe i missed it, but it looks like you don't have to remove tha entire dash. that's great. on a frikkin' EH (/EG), you have to remove so frikkin' much just to get to that dang heater core.

for an EH (/EG), their math on tha heater core was way off. no way in hizell it would ever fit. how does it fit for tha DA's?
