Default engine damper? i searched...

and couldn't find out what i want to know...i have solid motor mounts in my 95 civic coupe with an all motor ls swap...and the dash rattles like hell and its's almost annoying to ride in the car...would the engine damper stop the rattle? or should i not use it with solid motor mounts? and would i buy the damper for the civic or the integra?

I have the same problem. My dash rattles my teeth out. I would suggest stock mounts and an engine damper. You would use a damper for a integra. That should help the rattles and still serve the same purpose your trying to get from your aftermarket mounts.

Uh the damper absorbs vibration and movement from the engine, which helps eliminate wheel hop, explain how that would make it worse?

Yes these will help your problem. Do a search and read-up on them.

But regardless of using polyurethane mounts with or w/o an engine damper, it will still rattle from vibrations through the urethane mounts themselves. The mounts pictured don't look stock, but the torque mounts are polyurethane. I am guessing the rear mount is alot either afermarket or polyurethane insert?

The dampers aren't some magical thing that will solve all your problems thats for sure...
But everything I've read about them said they will help eliminate vibration, so they definatly won't hurt. Besides what do these run $100?! Give it a shot.

i have no ideal the hp on the car...i know it runs a 8.20-8.40 in a 1/8th of a mile...its pretty built....i just havn't dyno'd it yet. i got a new head put on it so once i get it retuned i'll know what the hp is at.

heres the thread for it
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1500168

ive used an engine damper with just the motor mount insert kit from ES....engine damper made no difference with those so i dont think it'd help u at all...i took out my inserts cuz i didnt wanna deal with the vibration since i drive the car daily and a lot...u can tell the difference in engine movement with the inserts and with jsut the engine damper...the inserts are better but the difference is not enough to make me wanna keep the vibration...thats all ive got to say...as for the engine damper an eg one will work fine
