Default rebuilding starter question

i read a post in here with the precedure in replacing the starter contacts but what about the brushes? i heard those too can be replaced with toyota parts but what are the part numbers for it? what about the alternator? i'm sure those can be rebuilt too. if anyone have any information concerning any of these parts (with part numbers) please share.

When I rebuilt my starter with the new Toytota contact points I also checked the brushes and they were fine, so I didn't replace them. If you find that you need the replace the brushes, then you should be able to find the pretty easily at any Toyota dealership.

If you mean between Honda/Acura and Toyota, then more than likely yes.

i work at a toyota dealership and we don't carry the contacts for some reason. however there is a place in town that works on toyotas that does carry them. so mine came from there. that is usually what goes bad. and its not to bad to do once you got the starter off the car.
