Default Car does not want to start - new B18 Swap

Ok, I thought it was a fuel problem but it seems like it is an electrical problem. I checked all the grounding and it's all tight. So this is exactly what happens when I try to start the car:

If I go right to the start position, the lights, blower, etc come on and I hear a click sound. This would probably be the starter solenoid. I can do this oever and over from the run --> start position and the car will never start. If I go from the OFF to Run position at least 4 times and then to start, the car will start. It will idle poorly for about 1 min and then it will be fine. The car does not crank at all when I do try and start normally.

if you have never changed the fuel filter, I would start there, If that doesn't help I would look aT the fuel pump...good luck

it sounds like your fuel pump is going out
either that or your fuel filter is really dirty, but that isnt as common

Would it at least crank? It does not even crank.

If you only hear a clicking sound when you try to start the car, then it may be your starter. If the starter has been just sitting around for a lonf time, the brushes may need to be cleaned. But if you try to start the car and you can feel and hear the motor spinning over and trying to start but it won't, check fuel and spark.

You can check spark by pulling a spark plug wire, sticking a screw driver into the hole and find a ground in the engine bay and check to see if it sparks when you try to turn the motor over.

possibly a relay problem, typically expierence in warmer seasons, also as mention above sounds like the fuel pump, or relay

Did this happen right after you swapped it?

Check electrical connections around the starter. This has absolutly nothing to do with fuel if you can't get the car to crank over.

I know EKs had a recall on the ignition switch and it used to do that. If you got an EK you might want to look into this.

Why the f*ck did you say that you got low fuel pressure. Did you hook up the fuel pressure gauge to it or something?
