Mini me tonight
SO I am going to do my mini me setup tonight. Should be cake. The question I have is, on my Y7 block, do I need to remove anything from the block for oil gallery? Example:Bolting it all up and going wouldnt seem right, because the feed for oil pressure for vtec comes from real line in block, looks plugged. Should I take that out?

Yes obd2 y8 have knock sensors, y7's do not. If you plan on running obd1 then it doesnt matter. But if you plan on running obd2 vtec ecu, then you need to get and wire in a knock sensor to keep from getting a cel.

I have a knock, just thread it in? is the location ready? I've never added one before. Wiring is easy, i have that covered. I know its above oil dummy light switch on back of block.

about putting a z6 head on a 95 dx block, what happens if you dont pull the jet? I dont have any check engine light on? I honestly dont remember if I did or didnot......Anyway to check with out pulling the head? like checking oil preassure to the vtec system......hrmn I have every tool known to man for a honda so I can test it . .. i guess.
would you do a write up on this please, i would appreciate it, i have a y7 with a y8 head in my basement, but im not confident in the swap, all the instructions are always faint and not clear, and i havent seen a y7-y8 write up, thanks man, goodluck, tell me how the car feels after the swap, im curious of how much a difference it will make
Shouldn't I have a check engine light then, there are at least two codes maybe three that would occur. Also the car fails emmisions, im trying to track down why.
