I've done it, check this for sexy time
http://www.adaccache.com/ek/5.jpg

few things to point out cause I never found them searching and no one knew when I was looking for answers

make sure you use a reversed butterfly...most other hondas have it...it just opens backwards
use the Y7 throttle body...it's the same size as the y8, except it has more sensors which you can use without having to worry about
use the y7 TB gasket...otherwise you will have a loopy idle cause it's diff than the y8

the main problem I had, is taking the old gasket of the head, took us forever

other then that it's real easy...2 sensors on the TB look identical, if it runs like ****, you have them backwards..one fo the wires for a sensor (top one on TB) needs to be extended, or yanked on..I yanked on it and it's been fine for over a year...but she's tight

btw use the y8 IM not the z6...I tried a z6 before, but I couldn't get it going right, might of been something I was doing wrong, but it worked fien with the y8 with no problems, so if you have a choice get the y8

GL

Use the tb on the y7 ugly maniold you got and use the gaskets made or the tb and maniolds. IE y7 tb gasket for y7, z6 IM gasket on z6 IM.

its not the "y7 ugly manifold" just "y7 intake manifold"

the ugly manifold is hte y7 manifold
the TB of that manifold is the TB you should use, along with the y7 TB gasket

if you use another TB, you wont find all the sensors on the TB, some of them will be on the actual intake manifold...so dont bother

also you MIGHT have to plug up 2 holes if you use the y8 Intake manifold...I dont remeber which year, but I think it was 99-00 auto, there was 2 holes you had to plug...but they will be fairly obvious to you when you go to put it on I believe

yes you have to plug up 2 holes when the manifold meets the head BUT ONLY if you're using a y8 99-00 manifold with air injection holes. No need to plug them up since they never came with z6 manifolds
