What year did honda start re-routing the hood release cable? I remember pple saying that you can hook th e cable with a hanger or something and it was easy to steal, then I remember some guy saying his went around the passenger side and everybody jumped on him and said it was impossible.

I was looking at my engine today while putting the windshield washer system back together and I noticed the same thing.. My hood release doesn't go to the driver's side. It comes out of the firewall where it is on the driver's side, then is attached to the firewall and comes all the way around the passenger side of the engine (in the engine bay)and hooks up to the latch. Is that OEM design, or maybe somebody else re-routd it (if they did, they did one hell of a job).

'cause I knew they still didn't correct the problem with the hood release cable going through the fender awhile ago so I don't know if they fixed it or not, I'd assume not, it's a '95 EX, but like I said, the hood release cable has been re-routd around the passenger side of hte engine inside the engine bay, has anybody else heard of this? I certainly haven't :-\
