CEL and died out
Three weeks ago i had to replace my clutch....88 crx dx dpfi. When I put it all back together it has been driving fine all of these three weeks (I put about 2500 miles on a week for work and about 1000 just because). I was driving along and it sort of acted like it was not getting gas, or not getting air and then it died. I unhooked my MAP sensor and actually got it sarted again but it will only go to about 950-1000 RPMs and then it eventually dies. Reinserting the map sensor it does the same. At first the sound was making me think it was throwing a rod or something but i was just choking for air and it made these loud gsap noises. The engine acts like it is really bogged down or something. If i give it any gas it dies out. I looked at all my vacuum lines and checked all my sensors and plugs to make sure nothing was loose from my quick clutch job, but everything seems fine (except for it not running of course). It just wont run. It is really ticking me off. I have personally replaced the motor, transmission, clutch and any accesory you can think of on all of my 5 CRX's i have had and i never came accross something like this. anyone have any sugestions? thanks
