Default MAP sensor???

Its a H22A1 and when its cold it idles up and down. But when it warms up it quits. And the other morning I gave it gas and it stopped idleing up and down. And suck at 2000 rmp and I gave it gas again and it started idleing up and down again. Also when its cold it smells like its burning rich. Could it be the map sensor?

No, if it were you'd be getting a CEL for it, read the FAQ for the answers to your problem, has been covered many times.

ive been having the same problem and last time i was at speedfactory kevin tuned a few things here and there and it was fine. make sure your injectors are lined up with your fuel rail, you have the right A/F ratio, also headgasket. mine does it because i have a crack in one of my combustion chambers so my line always has bubbles. you could have a bad block. good luck.

I compression tested it at 158 psi in each cylinder. And I just put head and head gasket on because timing belt snapped and also has head milled. But there is a leak in the front of the block a little crack. And anti freeze comes out a little thats it. Im getting read to jb weld it.

wow, 158...at least it's consistent. you probably need to redo your work. where is the leak? if it's between the head and block, you probably need to have someone match up the block and head.

jb weld is not the fix you want
