Default Breather Filters

Just wondering what everyone's stance is on them. Some say they cause problems but I've heard of people who build turbos and use them.

I use a breather cuz it's better than the tube that connects to the intake, but from what I hear, the sludge gets built up in the breather and that's bad. That's why catch cans are good. This is what I hear, but I'll continue using my breather until there's proof either way.

Someone on a forum once went into a LONG explanation of how over time they cause your cams to warp.
