Need Good Website for Stock Colors for radio
I know this isnt a Honda/Acura but Im trying to install aftermarket Radio on my 91 BMW 735Il, and cant figure out wich wires are for Speakers. I found the power wires for it. and i can make the radio turn on, but cant figure out wich wires are for Speakers. Can some one help me with a good website or some info?
Pop test your speakers with a battery. Touch one wire to the + side of the battery, then begin touching the remaining wires to the neg side of the battery. When you've found the correct pair of wires, the speaker will pop/crackle (note this does not harm speaker). Repeat with remaining wires.
Probably won't work if your car has a factory amp though...
You could also ask this question on a BMW forum instead of a Honda forum... :shrugs:

Thought of that, but they don't list colors for BMW.

First of all, I don't really like raisins.
Second, simply touching speaker wires together will not do anything... You need to apply a voltage to the driver to get any results. Use a AA (or 9v) battery and try what I said above.
Again, you might have better luck on a BMW FORUM.

I've tried that before on a few cars and it didn't work really, sometimes they [maufacturers] change the color before it reaches the radio, I don't know why...

I found wat the problem was. there were like 16 to 18 wires in the radio harness, and im like whow thats alot. I traced a wire and it went to trunk. I removed the side panel, and tada, there was a freaking stock amp there. So I traced each wire after that and firgure it out, also ther were like 4 wires that went from radio to Stock Cellular phone, DAMN BEAMERS. so after all that tracing, I finally got my radio to work with out eliminating anything. works good. thanks all for helping me.
