Default JDM Type R Muffler = USDM Type R Muffler?

I found a seller that has what he calls a "real JDM" Type R muffler. It looks identical to the USDM Type R muffler. I don't really care if it's JDM or not, I just need to replace my rusted out muffler, and I want to make sure that this will bolt right on to the stock piping. As far as I can tell, the USDM muffler bolts right on -- this is for a 1996 RS.

Can I feel confident with this one?

Thanks in advance!

but i like the tip. /ricer

junkyards around here seem to like to gouge prices, so it'd probably end up costing the same. but i'm certainly keeping my options open.

It looks like the real deal to me. If you want some pictures to compare, below are two pictures of my USDM ITR muffler.

according to the pics you posted, that is in fact a type r muffler. And yes it should bolt up to your existing piping.
