Default Loose Timing Belt

The other day I had the valve cover off and noticed that my timing belt has way too much play. I can almost pull it off the gear if i wanted to. Im guessing bad auto tensioner...? Any other ideas ?

How hard of an install is it ? Will the amount of space to work in be a bitch ?

Lots of room to work in a 5th gen if you remove the side motor mount completly, and dissconnect the power steering pump, and pull the power steering fluid off its bracket.

I can take pics tonight if you like. Im in the middle of doing this and have done all this stuff already,

There seems to be a epidemic of failing auto tensioners going on.

here's a link that will show you what you need and how to convert from the auto tensioner to the manual tensioner.....i strongly recommend that you do this, because the auto tensioner sucks horse *****. this writeup is AWESOME!
