Default how to fix my hatch. (1990 CRX)

i rarley "pop" my hatch from the interior of the car when i need to open it. usually i just unlock it with the key. But i recently did "pop" it using the hatch release lever...anyway, now it wont lock...its like stuck open.

If anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it without having to find a whole "new" hatch release assembly, then please Post.

Thanks.

Try spraying the latch with some lithium gease or even WD 40. Then pull the release **** several times to see if that worked.

Did you check to make sure the release **** went back down all the way.
Since you barely use it, sometimes the release **** will stick in the up postition, or just not all the way back down -and it is holding the hatch in "pop" postition.

Just something to double check incase you haven't. Just try to push down the release **** from inside.

Are you shure the latch is in the open position?
I've seen cars that open and then when you pull the hatch up, the latch falls back to the closed position.
Open your hatch and turn the key to the open position, then while you are doing that grab a screw driver and play with the latch.
See what I'm saying or do I need pictures?
