Heat Shield From Header Pipe to Exhuast Pipe..Need Help...
Aite..is there any Heat shield tat could like fit unto a street exhuast starting from header pipe almost to exhaust....so it would last longer...?
wouldn't make a difference. if you want your exhaust to last a long time, go stainless steel
So True, I have to agree with YeuEmMaiMai.
Stock exhausts corrode not only from the outside (rust & salt), but from the inside as well (sulfuric acids) and no shielding or coating on the outside will appreciably slow it down.
Really, I believe everything upstream of the Catalytic Converter is Stainless from Honda. Everything downstream is mild steel. It is this part of the system that is traditionally replaced with a Stainless Steel Cat-back System.

Hmm..aite i'll choose stainless steel..but usually which ones are the best that carries at a good vaule price for it..??
I made my own heat shield for my intake, so maybe this may help. I went to a local hardware store and got some aluminum sheat metal. You can cut it and form it to any shape, to connect the parts, simply make your own rivits, cover those up with some special tape that is metal. It works great give it a shop. Hell ill even make one for you for a small price.

6th gen piping is stainless all the way back, except for the flanges (and the cat & muffler of course).

I was assuming it was pre-'98 (he still hasn't coughed up that info yet either). Another addendum for the note book.
