I guess it depends on if you have a STD or a DX. I noticed a huge difference in my STD. I can't really say if you will notice that much of a difference going form a DX to MPFI, but it is a good mod anyway. It gives you more options for modification.

I noticed quite a difference on my DX after the swap. I would describe it as noticable since it felt like 10whp.
I found another on ebay that was still going and cheap...

That first ebay auction had no distributer or ecu, so its far from complete. Yes there was a noticeable difference when I converted my dx. But then again I used the y8 intake and throttle body. Our cars are so light that a 5whp increase would be noticable.
This one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT
Looks a lot like a y8 but I cant say for sure. I've never seen a z6 intake up close. Take a look at the y8 write up. Its pretty easy to do, only a few differences and no pesky resistor box to deal with. And you can loose the firewall map if you like.

wow im suprised......when i mpfi'd my 88 crx dx i about **** my pants first time driving it after it was done, its day and night......and the sheer joy and satisfaction knowing that its a pretty decent project for a 16 y.o to take on alone and finish in less than two days with work
Yeah, when EDA6 and I did my mpfi it took about 4 or 5 hours, and that was with me slowing him down. He heard me scream an "f-yeah!!!" the first time I went wide open throttle.
Oh, you'll also need a new intake, the stock air tube and air box wont fit, or at least it did not fit on my y8. I had to get an ebay tube with an AEM filter.

i've had swapped cars and still have one now, but when i swapped my old beater lx to mpfi it was great! and even better when i put my spare si tranny in there!!
it's not as fun as a swap but it is a good bang for the buck
