Default vafc gains with s2k

anyone have any feedback for me on the kind of gains they have seen for the s2k's?

basically stock (2003) car: snorkel, test pipe, cat back.

wondering if this would be a decent bang for the buck mod.

its not the most preferred method but you can see some gains with proper tuning. youll end up spending around 250-300 plus 150-200 for tuning and see anywhere from 5-10 peak.

im not looking to spend 500 bucks for an intake or 1300 for a stand alone. i made that mistake with my integra. i cant justify it. i want to know gains people have seen on this car.... i gain 10 mid range to the wheels with an safc. very worth it.

if anything i would like the engine fuel/air ratios to be better.

thx. for the feedback.
after seraching there havent been a lot of actual numbers thrown out jus basically people saying save for stand alone.

alot of people feel the vafc is not worth it...

you need to find a tuner that will get you the most out of it...

yes you will even the fuel curve out and gain some power...dont' expect more than 8-12hp gain...

From my understanding most of the time it loses power on the S2000.

Ive seen plenty of dyno charts of s2ks making power with a tuned vafc.

Sure, with tuning you are looking at $500 but considering what I have seen(much better power past 8300 rpms, and smaller gains all around), 500 is a damn good price for the improvement you get, considering this car doesn't get much at all from something like a cat back, intake...espically when you look at the prices of a good catback...$700+.
