idle problems need help
I am having serios problems with my car...I got so much **** for it and yet to put on cause I cant get the damn thing running right and want to blow it up...What would cause the car to run extremely rich I bought new injectors and fuel filter thinking those my problems...but I literally spit unburn fill out my exhaust and car run strong only when revving it up...but if its at low rpms it dies and takes a second to fire again...seems like its dumping to much fuel or its not being burned...what would cause this???almost about take it to a mechanic and let them figure it out...pretty smart when comes this **** but I done everything..I even drain the gas tonight and put fresh 91octane gas in it...
my car was running like that when the timing was off, i was thinking the whole fuel system was f-ed up but it was just timing and then my dizzy went to ****.
Check basics man, i almost pulled my hair out and still am over this distributor ****, AAAHHHH, i know how you feel, ive put all sorts of **** into this car and almost thought about selling it because of these little problems but NAH!
Just calm down and K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid)
Im going to try this tommorow.

i dont know how mant time i check the basics.......all the spark plugs are same color all the way across witch is fuilthy black from running to rich...and shooting gas out exhaust...I think car wants to die at low idle cause its getting flooded...about to take it to a mechanic and tell them just fix the damn thing...
i'm with 90_EF_Si on this one.. i think it is a lack of enough spark.. check the timing. is there any way the the fuel pressure regulator could be set too high? i dont know if you are running an adjustable one or not.
just some thoughts to help you along

Have you done a compression and leakdown test?
I had a similar problem, I failed emissions over and over and couldn't figure out why. My hydrocarbons were through the roof, which means there was a TON of unburnt fuel coming out my exhaust.
I checked my plugs and they were black, just like you said yours are, so I randomly did a compression test just to see what was going on.
My compression numbers were all over the damn place! So, I did a leakdown and found that my valves weren't sealing correctly, which is why the fuel wasn't being burned completely. It wasn't that my injectors were dumping too much fuel, it was my valves not sealing correctly that caused it to feel like it was running rich.
I pulled the head off and swapped it out for one I knew was good and like magic my car ran perfectly. I also passed emissions the first time.
Anyways, just something to check, since a compression test takes 5 minutes and may be able to tell you that something is wrong.
Good luck.

Compression test:
- Warm engine up, compression tests are best done on a warm motor
- Remove ECU fuse and unplug the distributor
- Remove plug wires and spark plugs
- Screw compression tester into cyl 1
- Hold throttle wide open and crank the engine until the gauge stops moving (usually like 5 cranks)
- Remove tester from cyl 1 and repeat for the rest
- If the numbers are more than 5% off from each other, do a leak down to further target the problem
I think that's about it.

come on mate, help a brother out...I cant figure it out anymore I tried everything to my knowledge...what else could it be...it hesitates when I step on the gas till about 2g then all way to redline is fine...but my friend said seems like its not advancing...cause its running extremly rich and I dont have an adjustable fuel pressure reg so thats not my problem...
